The Lord's Day

The Lord's day is tomorrow, are you ready? when do you start preparing for church, Sunday morning, when everybody is running around getting dressed, eating etc. Are our hearts even prepared to worship " in spirit and truth". Maybe a good time is Saturday night after a Bible devotion with our family, and no influences from the world in order to keep our minds clear. Maybe as fathers we get up early to be with God before anyone else and praise Him for another Lord's day given to exalt Him.

These are just thoughts to provoke us "unto good works". Has church just become routine or do we plan on humbling our hearts before God, singing praise to Him and leaving the world behind for a few hours.

God has been "longsuffering towards us" " His mercies are new every morning", so lets "come into His courts with singing and praise" that is worthy of His Name!!

Psa 95:3-6.  For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.   In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.   The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.   O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

  1. How true it is! If we prepare more each day for the weather than we do for worship, it shows how routine church has become. Our children need to be shown by example how precious it is to meet with God and not to take gathering with fellow believers for granted. It is never too soon to start- and we even get an extra hour Sunday morning to devote to this.
